Melamine is an impregnated paper thermally fused to particleboard or MDF. Melamine is commonly used in cabinetry, especially kitchen cabinets, and is also used in office furniture and store fixtures. Melamine panels can be ordered in several sizes, thicknesses and colours.

Nicholson and Cates stocks both white and black melamine, good two sides, on 4' by 8' particleboard core. White melamine is available in 1/2", 5/8" and 3/4" thickness, and black melamine in 3/4". Additional colours and sizes are available on a special order basis.

Nicholson and Cates also offers particleboard overlaid with vinyl or polypropylene; a wide range of colours and patterns are available. These products provide excellent value as an alternative to melamine.
