Nicholson and Cates provides our customers with quality softwood plywood specifically designed for industrial users.
The Industrial Panel Board Division carries Riverside Precision Sand plywood in 11.5mm, 17.5mm and 19mm thickness. The Riverside Precision Sand plywood provides a smooth, solid face on a panel that is a consistent thickness from piece to piece.
Riverside Precision Sand is made by laying up selected faces on a base of composed veneer. Composed veneer means virtually no laps or gaps - ideal for situations where the panels are cut or machined. After lay-up and pressing the panels are repaired as required with a solvent free, wood based putty to produce a solid surface with no open defects. The final step is precision sanding with a six-head sander. The final head uses 100 grit to produce a smooth surface.
Riverside Precision Sand is particularly well suited for use as a substrate for high-pressure laminates, CNC machining applications, or as internal cabinet components.
